We’ve visited this place about 4-5 times, and each time, the staff have been fantastic, there was one guy who really was a bit of an entertainer, but not seen him for a while. The service is really attentive, the food is fantastic. The portions are pretty good (rice could be a bit bigger portion for the cost, but we always come out full. I’d recommend booking to guarantee a table. It can be busy.

Fantastic food! One of.the best Indian restaurants I’ve ever been to! Staff quick and super friendly. Restaurant is in the town center in a small sideroad. Atmosphere only 4 stars. But I went there for a meal with my mate 3 times in a week and it was superb. Highly recommended!!!

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying some incredible Indian food, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The flavors were rich and authentic, with perfectly balanced spices in every dish. Everything—from the curries to the naan—was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Highly recommend it if you’re craving bold, delicious Indian cuisine!

Collected a meal tonight. Was great. Staff seemed really friendly but I was only collecting the meal. Would recommend. Lamb and chicken tikka was both lovely.

Absolutely incredible dining experience at Mela Restaurant in Windermere! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with a perfect blend of modern decor and traditional touches. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The food was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The spices were perfectly balanced, and the ingredients were fresh and high-quality. We particularly loved the Chicken Tikka, which was an absolute standout.

The food are absolutely amazing ! Also, The service is very brilliant ! We order so many dishes and not disappointed even one ! Even the dish that the staff very concern it might too sweet for us, turns out we do love that dish too ! The staff are very polite and do care so much about the customer. I don’t know why this place is so underrated. I would suggest everyone to try !!! I couldn’t recommend this place more.

I'm not quite sure why this place has got such a low rating? Must be the competition or something. Anyway, I can't recommend this place enough. We went here 4 out of 5 nights of our stay. The food was second to none. Excellent service and very friendly. My only complaint is having to walk back up the hill with my round pound yummy tummy. I would highly recommend this place if you like your Indian spicy food. Great service.
